Description

Handpan Kurd or Amara D minor - hand-tuned, with 9 or 10 notes

Two related but clearly different scales in one model: Kurd, the most played tuning in the world, or Amara, its calmer and softer sister. Hand-tuned, with 9 or 10 notes, at 440 Hz or 432 Hz.

Kurd or Amara - the difference

Kurd D minor sounds deep and carries a certain melancholy. Amara is closer to a bright minor: softer, more open, less dramatic. If you are torn between the two, follow your first listening impression. More in our collection Kurd handpans.

Hand-tuned, note by note

Every tone field is individually worked out and retuned by hand. That takes time, and it is the reason why a hand-tuned instrument sounds different from a machine-made one.

9 or 10 notes

9 notes for a clear, calm layout. 10 notes for an additional harmonic layer, without the playing becoming more complicated.

Why Resonance

Every instrument is retuned by hand and individually sound-checked before dispatch. Dispatched within 24 hours, insured and tracked. 30-day returns. For any question about choosing, you can reach us before and after your purchase.

Which tuning is right for me?

What matters is not which scale looks best on paper, but which one moves you when you listen. Minor tunings usually feel warm and inward-looking, major tunings more open and bright. So take your time and listen to the sound sample of the model you like. If you want to play with other instruments, 440 Hz is the simplest choice.

Can I return my instrument?

Yes, within 30 days of delivery. Our returns and refunds policy explains how it works and which conditions apply.
